Where can I find out about financial assistance services available in my area?

Benefits.Gov is a website designed to assist individuals in finding helpful assistance information.

You may also be able to locate additional resources by calling “211” (in participating counties) or visiting 2-1-1 Wisconsin. Contacting 211 will provide you with information about services available in your community that may be able to assist you in securing information regarding food, housing, shelter, education, legal, physical and mental health, financial assistance, transportation, and state agency program information. 211 is a service provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. The information is available in over 90 different languages.

Another very good source of information about financial, housing, medical, and other assistance programs is often your county’s human services department.
