What reemployment rights do I have after my mobilization?

The Uniformed Servicemembers Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) is a Federal law that provides reemployment rights for veterans and members of the National Guard and Reserve following qualifying military service. It also prohibits employer discrimination against any person on the basis of that person’s past military service, current military obligations or intent to join one of the uniformed services.

Please visit the following links for additional information regarding USERRA:

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve's (ESGR) Ombudsman Services Program provides information, counseling, and mediation on issues related to USERRA. The ESGR Customer Service Center can be reached by calling 1-800-336-4590 (option 1), by email to: osd.USERRA@mail.mil, or by submitting a USERRA Assistance Request.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), through the Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS) enforces USERRA and provides assistance to all persons having claims under this law.  For compliance assistance, please contact the DOL's toll-free help line at 1-866-487-2365.
