Am I eligible for military retired pay and VA disability compensation?

Prior to 2004, military retirees were required to waive their military retired pay in order to received VA disability compensation. In 2004, the law was changed to phase-in the concurrent receipt of both VA disability and retired pay for qualified military retirees through 2014.

To qualify for Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay (CRDP), a military retiree must have 20 or more years of service and a VA disability rating of 50% or higher.

Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) pays added benefits to military retirees who receive VA disability compensation for combat-related disabilities.
